SICC Labs is the research and development wing of the South India Coffee Company. SICC Labs focuses on low-intervention Coffea species for the future. We are conducting research projects aimed at climate-proofing coffee and coffee agricultural practices.

Currently, SICC Labs has the following ongoing projects:

• Research into Coffea Excelsa, as the low intervention high cupping Coffea species
• Research on Coffea Excelsa rootstock hardiness on Diploid and Tetraploid species of coffee
• Study of cupping quality of different excelsa varieties
• Research into natural hybrids between Arabica and Excelsa
• Native Coffea species, and commercial viability 
• Evaluation of other alternate Coffee Species, including Coffeea Stenophylla and Racemosa

SICC Labs is working on Coffea species that are resistant to climate change and can be grown with minimal intervention. This research is essential for ensuring the future of coffee production.
